1 MAY, It is celebrated with enthusiasm throughout the country as Labor and Solidarity Day in Turkey, as in many countries of the world.. İstanbul’da, Health Services Union (SAHIM-SEN), Civil Servants Union (SIME-SEN), Union of Rights and Labor (HAK-YEN) with the United Civil Servants Union (BİRDEM-YEN) üyeleri, 1 Mayıs Emek ve Dayanışma Günü dolayısıyla Kazancı Yokuşu’na karanfil bıraktı, Taksim Cumhuriyet Anıtı’na çelenk koydu. Sendika üyeleri, Gümüşsuyu Caddesi’nden çeşitli sloganlar atarak, Kazancı Yokuşu’na yürüdü. Gruplar, burada saygı duruşunda bulunup İstiklal Marşı okudu ve 1977’deki olaylarda hayatını kaybedenler için karanfil bıraktı.
